Patient W with a history of lung cancer: had right lower lobe of lung removed 14 years ago.
W has had a mild cough ever since surgery 14 years ago. During the past year (2016-2017) her cough has become worse and worse, to the point where she would wake up coughing every night and cough so hard she would vomit - several times per night! She consulted every medical specialist she could - had every medical test run - sometimes twice! No MD could find anything wrong with her at all - but of course, even without a definitive diagnosis some still offered to put her on meds. She tried a few, but they only made her worse or didn't work at all and gave her other side effect problems. Finally she decided to try acupuncture! I am happy to report that after 8 weekly acupuncture treatments, plus taking Herbs, she has now gone a full week without coughing, without vomiting: which also means that she is finally sleeping through the night and her appetite is starting to come back. This is huge! I am so happy for her! Hooray for acupuncture! Yes!
