Acupuncture is a form of treatment in traditional Chinese medicine using thin, sterile needles inserted into selected points on the body. Acupuncture is used to treat a vast range of conditions ranging from pain, hormonal imbalances, to internal medicine. Reiki is the placement of hands gently on, or a few inches above, the body to elicit relaxation and stress reduction. With the release of stress, Reiki supports the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Reiki works on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. Some conditions that benefit from Reiki include pain reduction, pre-, post-pregnancy discomfort, anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, and more.
Danielle Dickshinski, L.Ac. Reiki Master &licensed Acupuncturist has joined the Yin Rising Acupuncture team! Danielle earned a B.S.in Biology at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Connecticut. While earning a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, Danielle also completed a certification in Level I: Healing Community Trauma through Acupuncturists Without Borders. Danielle is also a certified herbalist (via a 2 year apprenticeship certification training through SWHerbs) and offers herbal consultations for varying ailments such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, grief, and more: herbal consultations are customized for each client that works best to restore their inner being. Danielle has also been practicing Reiki for over 9 years as a practitioner and Teacher (Transcendent Reiki, LLC). One of her main passions is to use Acupuncture and Reiki to treat mental-emotional trauma that manifests within the physical bodies. Danielle will be offering both Community Acupuncture, Personal/Private Acupuncture, Acupuncture combined enhanced with your choice of: Reiki, TuiNa, Cupping, & GuaSha treatments as well as Herbal Consultations. Danielle will be providing Community Acupuncture @ Yin Rising on Tuesdays from 12-4 pm & providing Personal Acupuncture + Reiki or Personal Acupuncture + TuiNa on Monday afternoons & every other Saturday.
